A brief introduction to EPS machines

Author:

The EPS machine can also understand the polystyrene foam reducing machine. The principle is to compress the EPS foam into blocks with a spiral compression structure. When using it, the operator only needs to put the foam block into the hopper, and there is a shredding structure in the machine to beat the foam block. After crushing, the spiral structure extrudes the small pieces of EPS foam into compressed blocks with a square cross-section. This compactor can be used in several common forms such as cold pressing, hot pressing, hot melting, and hydraulic pressure.

There is a pressure adjustment device at the front end of the compression section, which is used to adjust the compression ratio. According to the characteristics of the material, the compression ratio can reach 30 to 40 times to achieve the purpose of reducing the volume of EPS, so as to facilitate long-distance transportation and reduce storage and transportation costs. The cold-pressed EPS briquetting machine uses a screw to directly push and extrude EPS foam without heating. Hasswell introduced its smallest screw compactor at the 2007 K exhibition in Germany, the model is cp- 130. The capacity of this machine to process EPS is 13.6~18.4kg/h, and the density of the final product will increase by 40 times. The latest compaction density control can even reach 320.5kg/m3. The hot-pressing briquetting machine is mainly used for pressing PU material, the difference between hot-pressing briquetting machine and cold-pressing briquetting machine is.

A heater is added to the pressing section of the cold-pressing briquetting machine, so that the material passing through the heating section is extruded from the discharge port in a semi-melt state. Heger exhibited this type at the K exhibition in Germany in 2007. This type of briquetting machine has a high extrusion density and can reach a unit output of more than 500KG per cubic meter. The hot-melt briquetting machine is similar to the extrusion machine. After the material is completely melted, it is pushed out from the discharge port. , The disadvantage of this model is that it is the same as the hot pressing type, and one or more heating modules need to be added. The hydraulic pushing type adopts a screwless design, uses hydraulic pressure to do work, and exerts enough pressure on objects in a certain space. , to densify the object, so as to achieve the purpose of the location. This kind of machine is much more complicated than the previous models, but the pressing effect is the best. The maximum output can reach more than 700KG per cubic meter. It is used for compacting product scraps for large EPS molding machines, as well as briquetting machines with other structures. The above models are the most used and the most common.
